Azerbaijan 2011 - Aynishan Guliyeva - Carry Me In Your Dreams
The Azeri final was a funny to do. It seemed to go on for about a day and a half, as the five contestants, who'd already battled their way through weeks of X Factor style auditions sang song after song, interspersed with popular local acts and Eurovision contestants from other countries. There was also a strong rumour that one artist's gangster dad had made an agreement that she would get through.
Funnily enough, that contestant wasn't poor Aynishan. Surely the director wasn't paid off to give the younger and prettier singer as little screen time as possible. How else would you explain the the huge sections of slow pans across a bored looking and over-lit crowd as she warbled her way through the 2009 Albanian entry? They obviously do things different down that way.

Wow... It seems that the crows is completely drugged... or all held at gunpoint not to smile, clap or react in any way that may be interpreted as supporting the poor girl... This has got to be one of the saddest things I've seen....
